Con Tutti
Spain Performance Tour
FAQ

When and where are we going?

Barcelona and Catalonia region of Spain, June 18-25, 2026. We are working with Music Contact International (MCI) out of Burlington, VT to create our itinerary and book the travel. They will have a representative available to us along the way and be our personal travel guide while on tour.

How do I find out more and register to participate?

We have our own itinerary and trip website that has all of the info - CON TUTTI SPAIN 2026 TRAVELERS SITE

How much will the trip cost?

The total price depends on how many people sign up to travel. Early estimates for the LAND package range from $3500-$3800. The final cost could be lower depending on how many travelers we have. Airfares are expected to be around $1400 per person, but that is just an estimate and could be different once airlines publish their fares. We will fly directly from Boston to Barcelona unless there would be a significant cost savings by making a stop.

Will I have to pay for everything all at once?

No. Payments of 20% installments will be required started in December 2025 and will occur monthly. There will be a total of 5 payment installments with the final one due in April 2026.

What is included in the LAND package price?

All breakfasts, four dinners, city tour of Barcelona, guided visit to Montserrat and Girona, a motor coach and driver, a tour manager who will be with us 24/7, a traveler resource website, and trip planning assistance, including arranging performances for us.

What is the difference between the LAND package and LAND/AIR package?

LAND - covers everything once the tour starts in Spain.

LAND/AIR - includes the flight that the tour will book for group travel as well as everything once the tour starts in Spain.

There will be choices you can make to use your own airline miles or take the flight that our tour will arrange. We will have more information on final cost of the flight this summer when flights open up for our time frame. Also, if you want to stay traveling past our tour MCI can help arrange custom flights or you can book that on your own.

What if I don't know if I want to include the flight yet?

You can choose the LAND package now and switch to the LAND/AIR package later, if you choose. You will need to contact MCI directly to switch to the LAND/AIR package if you do not choose it at the time of deposit.

When do I have to sign up?

A $250 deposit per person is due on April 2, 2025.

Is the $250 deposit refundable, what are the cancellation policies?

MCI INDIVIDUAL CANCELLATION POLICY

More than 180 days before departure $100 is nonrefundable

Between 179 and 159 days before departure $100 + 10% of the total tour cost is non-refundable

Fewer than 150 days before departure All payments are nonrefundable

Flight cancellation fees may vary from what is listed above; for terms and conditions concerning the flight deposit,
please refer to your group's flight contract.

Trip insurance is highly recommended.

Can I still go if I don't sign up by April 2, 2025?

Maybe. Participation will be on a first come, first serve basis. You can sign up after April 2, but space for the tour will be limited to approximately 48 people. Also, Joanne needs to balance the parts, so the earlier you sign up, the more likely you'll be able to sing your preferred part

Do I need to be physically fit to participate in the tour?

Don't let physical limitations deter you for participating in the trip. Old European towns are not always accessible as we might be used to here and you may not be able to participate in all sightseeing activities, but MCI will work with you to make sure that you have a more accessible alternative. Please make sure to note any mobility issues when registering on the MCI portal so we can plan ahead.

Will there be a way to extend the travel experience past the end of the tour?

You are welcome to travel longer than the tour on your own, or we may work with the company to see if there is enough interest to offer a travel extension for an additional fee.

Will there be trip meetings leading up to our departure?

Yes. There will be 4-5 mandatory meetings for singers going on the trip. These will likely occur on another day of the week, other than Wednesday. More information will be shared once we have the final roster of singers.

Can non-singing companions go on the trip with Con Tutti?

The tour will be for singing members only, and we will try to create an opportunity for non-singing companions to join at the end of the tour for the last concert.

What is my singing commitment to Con Tutti?

We ask that you commit to the Con Tutti fall 2025 and spring 2026 singing sessions. We will learn music that will be drawn from for our tour concerts. There may be extra rehearsals before the trip and you are required to sing with all tour concerts unless you are ill.

What if I am unsure who I would have as a roommate?

We will offer a survey to match up those who do not have specific roommate choices.

Will there be any fundraising for this trip?

Yes, we already have a fundraising committee working on ideas for events. Please contact Teri Anderholm and Maria Gallagher if you have interest in being involved or a fundraiser idea!

What is the fundraising for?

To cover musician stipends, singer scholarships, and supporting charitable giving in Spain.

Will there be scholarships for singers to help with the cost of the trip?

The travel committees goal is to support singers who need financial assistance. More information about this process will be shared soon.

Do I need trip insurance?

Trip insurance is highly advisable and available through third-party providers. A good place to compare options is https://www.insuremytrip.com/. If you plan to purchase CFAR (cancel for any reason) insurance you will typically need to do that within 14-20 days from when you pay the trip deposit.

Do we need passports?

You will need a passport for this trip. It will need to be valid for more than six months after the end of our trip so check your expiration date to renew, if needed.

Will there be opportunities to learn Spanish before we go?

There has been interest in forming a language class and it could possibly be a fundraiser for the trip. Stay tuned!

Is this a Christian tour?

No. Neither Con Tutti nor this tour are affiliated with any religious tradition. Religion played a major role in the history of Barcelona and the Catalonia region and as a result many of the historical points of interest happen to be Christian. Historically, Christians, Jews and Muslims lived harmoniously in the region and we'll learn about that as well. We will able be taking in secular sites, such as castles and famous concert halls. Performances will likely be a mix of religious and secular spaces.

What is Barcelona weather in June?

70 and 80 degree temperatures.

What is acceptable attire?

We will provide more information about concert attire when the trip gets closer. In general, you will want lightweight clothing. There may be some spaces where shoulders and knees need to be covered. Typically, men do not wear shorts in Europe. Bring good walking shoes!

Is tipping required in Spain?

Yes, but it tends to be less than the US. MCI will provide a guide to tipping?

Will I need to make reservations at restaurants for the dinners that aren't covered by the tour?

Generally, no. If you choose to go to a famous restaurant, a reservation might be advisable. Our tour manager will be able to provide recommendations for places to eat once we get to Spain. Note: in some of the smaller towns, there will not be many options.

Do I need cash?

Spain tends to use credit/debit/electronic payment. You may need case for small vendors, but you can always use an ATM to get cash once you arrive.
